How to add a product to your Snappin store

Open the right store, add product details and photos, configure stock, and save a draft or publish your listing.

Before you start

  • Create a store first and sign in with the account that can manage it.
  • Prepare a clear product title, description, category, price, product photos, and stock details. Keep any applicable tax or customs information ready.

Screenshots show the Snappin website with fictional sample data. Red outlines and numbered markers identify the actions described below. Select a screenshot to open it at full size. Your store details and available category fields may differ.

1. Open the store you want to manage

On the shopping website, go to Profile → View Stores. Find the right store card and choose Manage to open the seller dashboard.

2 — Manage opens this store’s seller dashboard. Use the store name to confirm you chose the right shop.

3. Complete General Information

Enter Product Title, Product Description, and Price. Choose the most specific available Category so the product is classified correctly, then select Next.

  • Use a title such as “Cotton hand towel” and describe what the customer will receive. Subtitle and Material add useful detail.
  • MRP is optional. Refund Policy (Days) accepts 0–30; enter the return window appropriate for this product.
  • Add relevant tags. Turn on Only available offline (in-store purchase) only when customers must buy the item at your physical shop.
  • If Next does not advance, scroll to the validation messages and complete the required fields.
1 — Enter the product’s name. 2 — Set its price. Continue down the form to choose Category and Next.

4. Complete any category-specific fields

After choosing a category, review the Category details step. Fill in any required attributes shown for your category, then choose Next; the fields vary by category.

  • Use the values that describe the actual item. If category fields fail to load, retry before continuing; required fields must be available for validation.

5. Review Customs Information and GST

Select the required Country of Origin. Enter the applicable MID Code, HSN/SAC Code, and manual HS Code as appropriate for the product. Choose Next when you have reviewed this step.

  • Search HSN/SAC Code to select the applicable tax code. Selecting one reveals the GST price setting and calculation preview.
  • Check whether your entered price already includes GST. The inclusive setting back-calculates the base price; the exclusive setting adds GST to it.
  • Review the calculation before proceeding. Ask your tax adviser if you are unsure which code applies.
1 — Search for the applicable HSN/SAC code. 2 — Next continues to the following step.

7. Configure Inventory

Enter the SKU and Quantity in Stock. Enable Inventory Management if you want stock tracked, and review Allow Backorders before choosing Next.

  • Use a SKU you can recognize when managing stock. EAN and UPC barcodes can be entered if applicable.
  • Allow Backorders lets customers keep buying when stock runs out. Enable it only if you can fulfil those orders.
1 — Set the stock quantity. 2 — Review whether inventory should be tracked.

8. Review Variants, then save or submit

Use Variants for choices such as size or color, if needed. Review the configuration, then choose Save as draft to finish later or Submit to begin publication.

  • Use Previous to check earlier steps before submitting.
  • Submit opens the Publish Product confirmation. Review it and choose Confirm to send the product into the review process. It may not be publicly visible until the review is complete. Wait for the successful save before leaving the page.
  • A draft is a saved work in progress. Return to Products and open it to continue editing; saving a draft does not publish it.
1 — Save as draft keeps work for later. 2 — Submit opens the publication confirmation.

9. Confirm submission for review

In Publish Product, read the review notice. Choose Confirm to submit, or Cancel to return to the form. Confirming sends the product for review; it does not guarantee immediate public visibility.

10. Check the saved product

Back in Products, find the item and check its status. Open it to verify its details, images, price, and stock; for a published item, also check the public storefront using View Store in My Stores.

  • If you own multiple shops, confirm the active store before looking for the listing.
  • If you saved a draft, complete and publish it when ready. Offline-only products are intended for purchase at the physical shop.

Need help?

  • If Create Product is missing, confirm the active store and that your account has permission to manage its products.
  • If Next or Submit is blocked, correct validation messages, including any category or variant fields. Use Previous to revisit earlier steps.
  • If publication fails, read the error and retry after correcting it. Check Products before retrying to avoid accidentally creating a second listing.
